The aptly named Ovation iDea is indeed a great idea. It’s a modernly designed acoustic/electric guitar with a built-in MP3 recorder so that you can record tunes on the spot, and play them back instantly. This is great for on the spot songwriting and sudden bouts of inspiration at times when you don’t have the proper equipment around to record your notes. Did we mention that the Ovation iDea has a pretty appealling minimalist design as well? You can pick one up for $599.

We were already fond of Paul Frank’s previous iPhone and iPod cases, so their new 3G iPhone cases are a welcome lot. There are five new silicon case designs to choose from, including the very colorful Paul Frank Skurvy Guitar case that is covered in little guitars. We’re also particularly fond of the blue Julius Hearts that is covered in colorful hearts some even featuring Julius’s face. Each of these Paul Frank 3G iphone cases retail for $29.95.

The Sonic Chair Touch laughs in the face of recession. It’s a super expensive (think 10G’s) spherical shaped chair with built-in speakers that make up a large body-focused sound membrane as a backrest. Other spectacular features of the chair includes a stainless pedestal that conceals cables and an outside chassis covered with top-grade leather and sueded microfiber lining on the inside. But here is the clincher, there is a special version that comes with a 20″ iMac attached to a pivoted hinge. The site claims that this is a touchscreen iMac, but we’re pretty sure that that is a typo. Also, the extra iMac will cost you a couple of thousand more even though the iMac retails for just $1199. But don’t act like you’re surprised.

The iDesign SongView is not your average iPod Alarm clock, after all, if it were – would we even bother? The SongView features a big digit scrolling display that rotates between showcasing the iPod’s song, artist, playlist and album. The included remote lets you control the SongView from a far. We can see the cool facter in this alarm clock. For example if you’re wondering who the artist is that is playing and you’re on the other side of the room, you can easily glance over to the scrolling display. That is not exactly a must have feature but it can be kind of cool. The iDesign SongView retails for $99.
